Meet Your Nutritionist/Chef!

A lifelong foodie, cookbook addict, and sometimes vegetarian, Cassie went completely plant-based in 2017 after a first-hand experience with food as medicine.

Nothing could have prepared her or her husband for his heart attack at 41. Unable to accept that the bounty of medications prescribed to him were all they could do, she dove into the research about heart disease and diet.

Again and again, “plant-based” came up in her reading so she eliminated animal products and processed foods from the whole family’s diet. In a month or two, he was off most of the drugs and feeling amazing.

She was all in and realized she was now in a place to pay it forward to people in need of a food overhaul to heal their bodies and take control of their health.

She got her Masters of Science in Nutrition at NUNM and launched Cassie’s Plant-Based Kitchen in 2021 and has been helping people share in her passion for plant-based food ever since.

Her husband continues to do well. They live in Portland, OR with their 8 year old twins, a cat and a dog. She loves to camp, hike, read, make things, and of course, cook for those she loves.
